MILLENNIAL’S POLITICAL PARTICIPATION USING SOCIAL MEDIA SPHERE IN BALUCHISTAN

Purpose of the study: The empirical study aims to investigate connection and effects of millennials' political participation using social media sphere in Baluchistan, Pakistan. Methodology: The study used online survey method; descriptive data was collected from a sample of 1000 students of various universities in Baluchistan through google forms using simple probability random sampling mechanism and empirically analyzed. Main Findings: The findings of research revealed that youth profoundly use social media and Facebook is the most popular site for civic engagement. Digital networks provided an avenue of political participation, social media facilitated vigorously contributing to local politics and identify concerns of the vicinity. Applications of this study: This research contributes to the political parties as they understand the importance of social media and role of youth in politics. Novelty/Originality of this study: The study filled a huge research gap and suggests recommendations for millennials' who are regular social media users in Baluchistan.
